Hello. After spending a year reading and learning from the messages posted on this board I finally made THE PURCHASE. I just got my new 4310 hydro with 430 loader and 72 inch mid mount mower this evening. I don't know who is more excited, my 3 year-old son, my father in-law or me!

I have only played with it a little bit, but the indicator light on the fender seems to come on when I go down hills or banks (not very steep). When this happens, the tires lock up and nothing happens when I push the hydro pedals. After I wait a several seconds, I can push the pedal and the tractor will move until it locks up again. It doesn't do this if I am going up hill. It did the same thing several times on flat ground when I raised, lowered and surled the bucket. Is there anything I can check or should I just call the dealer? This is my first tractor so I don't know a whole lot about tractors in general.

Thanks for everything you guys have taught me and the additional knowlege I will gain from this board.

Domenico

Just a wild guess but it sounds like a safety switch on your seat is set too sensitve, so that when you go down hill with a little less weight on the seat it is indicating you have been booted outa your seat and locks up to save you. ....

Thanks for the help. It was the safety switch. I adjusted the seat and it is fine now. Unfortunately, it has been a busy weekend and the rest of May will be the same. So far, I only have 4 hours on the tractor, but I have only been on it half an hour. My father in-law has spent most of the time on it and he really likes it. I feel like a little kid who is not allowed to play with his new toy! Oh well, I am sure I will get tp lay eventually. ....
